Nana's 80th Birthday

My Nana (dad's mom) turned 80 this month. We had a party for close friends and family to celebrate this milestone with her. I hope that if live to be 80 I am in great health like both my grandparents.

More Camping Fun

Went went camping above Kamas last weekend. We love this camp site. It is by trial lake and there is a stream that runs rights along the camp site. Addison loved the water - even though it was still pretty chilly.

Loves the 4 wheeler

~ Independence Day ~

4th of July - 2008. Justin had to work this one (boo), but Addison and I had a good time. We played outside for a few in the morning, napped and then played again. She is getting to be so funny, and loves to laugh and make you laugh. She was spinning on her butt on the floor in the kitchen and cracking up.

After Justin got home we ate some good lasagna (I know, not so 4th of July ish) that I made and waited for the sun to set. While we were waiting, we got out some snaps (I think that is what they are called). Addison had a ball throwing them on the concrete and hearing them "pop" if one didn't go off when she threw it, she'd run over and stomp on it. Well the sun went down and we got out the fireworks - we only were able to do about 3. Addison was so freaked out she was crying and shaking. I guess we'll have to save them for another time.

Anywho, just wanted to wish you all a ~ Happy Fourth of July ~ !!

Justin had his 10 year High School reunion Sat. night. It was good for him to see some old friends that he has unfortunately lost touch with. We went with a few to the bar afterward, it was a good time! Although life gets in the way, Justin really would like to keep in touch with his friends ~ hopefully this reunion was a good start to doing just that!

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to my Dad, and to Justin (hubby). My dad is such a strong and loving man. He has always been there for me, through thick and thin. He has held me up when I was weak and been there to cheer me on when I was strong, and is now doing the same for Addison (his grand daughter). Here are a couple pics of my Dad, and of my sweet hubby ~ who is a wonderful dad to our little one. Addison is such a strong and loveable baby girl thanks to the strength and affection of Justin. He has pushed her since the day she was born to be tough and independant, and today she is just that! I am so happy to have a great husband who makes an even better father. I can't wait to have more kids with him. We love you dad/papa and dad/Justin ~ Addi and Tris!

Dylan, Tina and his art work on the wall. It is awesome!
Go see for yourself! 511W 200S

Yesterday was Justin's brothers birthday. He wanted to go to dinner at the Asian Star, and then head downtown to the coffee shop called Addicted to see our good friend ~ Dylans' art work. Well, Justin and I and Dylan and Tina made it to dinner on time, Jason (bday boy) and his sweet girl friend Ashley were about 45 min. late. From there we decided to drive to the trax station and take trax to the coffee shop. Well, we got off the trax way too early! Like 3 or 4 stops too early. We decided to walk it, it wouldn't be too far right...wrong! It took us almost 45 min. to get there (after stopping to potty) and once we got there it was closed. :( Bummer! We looked inside and saw the staff still cleaning up for the evening, so I decided to knock "umm..this is my friend Dylan, can we PLEASE see his art on your wall" and they let us in! When we left, HAHA the trax stop we should have taken was like 100 feet from Addicted's front door. LOL

Addison and her LIDS

Our beautiful daughter is obsessed with lids...anything that has a lid (water bottles, chapstick, pens, etc) . She can
drink just fine out of a water bottle, and put the lid on and off. It is so funny though, I thought I'd blog about it. She will say "some...water" or "chick stick" and then she will point and say "lid...lid" if you don't get her the lid in a few seconds, she will throw a little fit until you give her the lid, then she's just fine and will go about her business putting on the chapstick, or drinking the water. It's so dang funny :)

Memorial Weekend Camping

Last weekend was our first camping trip of the year. Addison was much more mobile than she was last year. Even though she was walking last year, she was content playing in the play pen with her toys. This year is going to be totally different ~ all she wanted to do this trip was go on walks (she would grab your hand and say "walk...walk..."). She really liked the river (eeeks..) and throwing rocks. The weather was a little chilly, but she was a trooper. Here are a couple pics of Addison eating her first s'mores. She was skiddish of helping dad roast the marshmellows on the fire, but after it was made into a s'mores she was in pig heaven.
